Welcome to the 11th Annual Northern Michigan Lamb & Wool Festival!  It's hard to believe we're already beginning our second decade of fun, fiber, and friends!

What are we about?

We're about the friendliest little fiber festival around!  We work to bring together small producers of fiber products and fiber fan(atic)s, and we have a great time doing it!

The festival is the last weekend in September each year, at the beautiful Ogemaw County Fairgrounds, near West Branch, Michigan.  Our website is fully updated with this year's class listing, events, logo merchandise, and lots more.  There will no longer be a print booklet; our website covers everything that was in the booklet, so we decided to save the time, trouble, and money a booklet requires.  There will still be at least two mailing a year.  One is a postcard reminder of the festival, the other a listing of our classes with a registration form.  If you don't get those, please contact Julie Hurd at hurd@gtlakes.com or 231-533-5464, to be added to our mailing list.

All vendors please contact Vendor Chair Jeanie Prentice for more information.

Our class schedule is complete, and you can click on each class in the class schedule and go directly to teacher bios and class descriptions. Our vendors are signing up (and filling the vendor halls fast - be sure to get your application in and paid for soon!); and we're putting together some plans to make our 11th annual festival a really special one.

Be sure to let us know if you'd be interested in joining our family as a volunteer to help before, during, or after the festival. Many hands make light work!

Speaking of volunteers, we hope you enjoy the many wonderful pictures of our 2009 festival, taken by roving photographer Teri Dougherty. She has captured the essence of our festival - fun, fiber, and friends!

Our Promotions Chairs have brought us some new, unisex items with our high-quality, embroidered logo for this year's festival:

50/50 Poly/cotton T-shirt with our familiar festival logo.  These Tees are beautiful and wonderfully soft with the added advantage of mininal shrinkage.  Two colors available: Sage Green and Chocolate Brown.

Sizes S, M, L, XL: Member price $18; Non-Member price $21.

Sizes 2X and 3X: Member price $19; Non-Member price $22.

2010 Festival T-Shirts

2010 Festival Mugs

Also available are these generous 10 oz ceramic coffee mugs with either our familiar festival logo, or a new design using just the sheep's head printed from a punch hook mat created by Julie Hurd.  Both mugs identify the festival in both picture and text.  Please specify which logo you prefer when ordering.

Mug pricing: Member $15; Non-member $18

And if you send in your Membership Form and payment, you'll get the member price on both items. Vendors: You're automatically members with your 2010 booth fee!

Print our order form to place your order to be mailed to you or delivered at the festival.

Important note: No pets except working aid dogs allowed on the fairgrounds. We have sheep, rabbits, and other fiber animals in the buildings and on the grounds. Please help keep them safe and calm.
