The Shearing School remains a hit at the festival, with some students going on to win national-level shearing competitions! Jim Bristol and his crew of expert shearers will teach shearing technique, equipment care and setup, sheep handling, wool handling, and other basic sheep-shearing skills, in a sheep-shearing trailer designed for proper sheep and wool handling.

This school is not for the faint of heart! Wear old clothes, and bring your favorite analgesic – you’ll need it!
